In 2003, we ascended Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis in support of Shooting Star House Children's Hospice. At the summit, it was minus 18 degrees with the wind chill factor. For the cause, it was worth every minute of the cold and the pain in our joints!
Shooting Star House serves life-limited children, young people and their families, throughout the western half of London and north Surrey. As there is no statutory funding available for children's hospices, the running costs of £2.5 million each year need to be met by fundraising in the local community.
