I was lucky enough to spend three months working with Educators Trust India this year. I did not expect the experience to have the impact on me that it has, these beautiful kids have stolen my heart.

I would love to give back to the Trust as I have gained so much from the experience. For those of you with jobs/kids/pets who cannot afford to take 3 months away from your day to day lives, even though you would love too, you can still help make a difference in their lives.

I will be running the Standard Chartered Bank half matathon to raise funds for the “New Light Appeal”. This is a project run by Educators Trust which will help to educate 200 slum children in Goa and  include six classrooms, a modern, hygienic kitchen and dining area. Our target is for the proposed development to be operating to its full potential by October 2015, and I hope to contribute $2000 SGD to this appeal.

For most of you who know me, a half marathon is something completely out of my comfort zone, but I would do anything for these little faces, and I hope you can share this passion (and some of your money) with me :)  So have a heart, give a little, and enjoy the good karma that is sure to come your way.
