Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Simon is running the Sunderland Half Marathon on 1st May in memory of Jess Fairclough, his company, Barclays, have pledged to match anything he raises so basically every £1 you donate is worth £2 - how good is that??  Si has picked Clic Sargent as one of Jess's last wishes was any money raised in her memory went to this wonderful charity to make sure they could help others in her position.  All money raised from this will be added to the Jess Fairclough Memorial Team Fund which is currently standing at over £10,000

Jess was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma in November 2014.  Throughout her treatment time at Alder Hey she was supported her Clic Sargent worker (Rach).  Rach looked after Jess in so many ways, she liaised with her school, sorted out her parents finances, got funding and treats for her to keep her happy during some truly horrific treatment and basically connected with her and made life that bit better. Jess trusted her so much,  Rach was the first person she turned to when she found her cancer had come back and was incurable.  You can find out more about Jess and her story at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1041229685930026/
