Story
SiXter Act (Debbie, Rona, Lisa, Fran, Liz & Inez) from Artemis will be walking 20 miles through London overnight on 18/19th September to support Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
Maggie's Centres help people adjust to living with cancer. Its pioneering support programme has been developed for patients, their carers, family and friends. Under one roof you can access help with information, benefits advice, and psychological support both individually and in groups all free of charge.
It is there for anybody who feels the need for help, which includes those who love and look after someone with cancer, who often feel as frightened and vulnerable as those who actually have the disease.
There are now centres in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Inverness.
Further Maggie's Centres are being developed at hospitals in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Swansea, Fife and Lanarkshire.
We will be extremely grateful for any support you can give!
Many thanks
