My story

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've never run 10k before so the Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield will be a real challenge. I've been busy training on my treadmill in my downstairs cupboard (yes, it's actually in the cupboard) and some of you may have seen me stumbling around Rother Valley. Check out my photos to see the other ways I've been training.

It's all in aid of a great charity - there are 18 of us from John Lewis running for Contact the Elderly and we're hoping to raise as much money as possible. Contact the Elderly relieve the loneliness often felt by people who live alone with little or no social support. To find out more about the charity visit: http://www.contact-the-elderly.org.uk/

If you're around in Sheffield on Sunday 6 September I'd really appreciate some support! Oh, and did I not say? I'll be dressing up as an old lady to help raise the profile of the Contact the Elderly charity.
