At 4 PM on Saturday 19th June Team SigiMae will cross the start line at Barmouth on the 2010 Three Peaks Yacht Race, by the following Saturday we hope to arrive at Fort William having visited Snowdon, Scafell Pikes and Ben Nevis on the way. The team is five strong but only one of us has done the race before and knows what to expect. We have been primed for strong wind, no wind, lots of rowing (fun when the rowing boat weighs 6 tons +), horizontal rain on the runs & tops and blazing sun on the runs & tops. Whatever transpires we aim to have a laugh, stay competitive and raise some money for SSAFA who have helped many of our comrades over the last decades.
