Simon's Do it for Dave London to Brighton Cycle 11th September 2016 page

London to Brighton Cycle 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·
I will be taking on the challenge of the London to Brighton Cycle Ride on September 11th to raise money for our 2016 Charity of the Year, St Peter and St James’ Hospice. This charity provided tremendous support to my colleague, Dave Payne, and his family following his diagnosis of terminal cancer in 2015. Dave sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this year and he is sorely missed by everyone at ILG. I am cycling in his memory and hoping to raise a significant amount of money for his chosen charity.
For those who do not know this is a 55 miles cycle starting in central London and working south. The first 48 miles asides from traffic are fairly normal but at the end of this looms Ditchling Beacon which is the 3rd highest point on the South Down at 248m above sea level and has been part of the tour of Britain ride as well as the tour de France.
My personal goal is to finish around 3hrs and 30mins
Thank you for your support.
