Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Great North Run on behalf of Max Appeal, a Charity which supports those affected by DiGeorge syndrome and their families.

Those affected by DiGeorge syndrome, VCFS & 22q11.2 deletion suffer a complex and varied group of conditions. Babies and children may have complex heart defects requiring surgery, difficulties metabolising calcium which can cause dangerous seizures, poor immune system and palate abnormalities which can cause speech and learning difficulties.  25% of adults afftected develope schizophrenia or other, serious, mental health problems.

Max Appeal is a small charity doing valuable work and every penny would be gratefully received.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
