Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes which was a shock. I didn't really understand the disease until then and I'm still learning now.

However, one thing I have learnt is that I am one of the lucky ones.

Others are born with diabetes and can suffer the horrendous consequences of having done so - amputations and blindness are not uncommon in those who have the disease from a young age.

Through your donations you will be helping children and young people who have to live with diabetes and hopefully move us closer to a solution or even a cure.
