I was one years old when I caught meningitis and was really ill.

 

I ended up being profoundly deaf as a result of it.

 

I went to Hamilton Lodge deaf school where a lot of my friends had gone through the same thing. I met my childhood love there, and now I am married and have two children, who can both hear fine.

It all hit me again when I lost a friend two year ago to meningitis, I want to help raise money so we can beat meningitis !!!
