Story

After initially resisting the opportunity to join the JOGLE Team (mainly down to time) I’ve been drawn in.

I’m not a natural athlete, I have to work hard to be modestly good at anything – and I’m definitely not a cyclist. (I bought a bike a couple of years ago, it’s been used a handful of times, the second of which had me falling into a bus stop.)

So being drafted in with a month to prepare (only a few weekends free to train) worries me slightly. Blood and sweat has gone into this challenge (yes I came off my bike again recently) so I hope its worth it!!

About 300 miles, 3 days… it’s not going to be easy for me.

BUT – at least anyone supporting me via sponsorship is going to get their monies worth in pain and suffering.

I’ve never lived in Basingstoke, but genuinely love the place. I was lucky enough to work there for many years meeting some fantastic business people many of which I regard as friends.

It has a brilliant community and what ARK are looking to do only adds to the support of those in the community I have come to love so much.

Thank you for those that have already supported the challenge, and to those that are about to. It really, really is appreciated (and tax deductible if you’re a business… just saying)

Wish us luck!
