Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for supporting Right to Play.

I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 11 October 2009.  I have been doing some training so hopefully I will be a little bit fitter by the time of the race but my main objective is to raise lots of money for a great charity.

Right to Play uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world.  It is supported by an international team of top athletes from more than 40 countries. I am not a top athelete but I am trying to do my bit as well.  You will find out more about Right to Play by clicking on the link on the left of this page.

Together with our friends and colleagues, the Holden Family has been supporting Right to Play through various events during 2009.  Many of you will have heard of the charity through work or through my sons' schools which have held fund raising events.  Raising money through this run is my contribution.  It will be the furthest I have ever run.  I am aiming to complete the course and ideally put in a time of under two hours.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Thank you for your support.
