Story

Thanks for looking at my page, I know things are a little tight for many of us right now, so its appreciated believe me.

There are two reasons why I wanted to do this, the first being that having managed to get to the age of 40 I thought it was about time I stopped talking about it and actually ran a marathon, I have done the Half Marathon distance many times but never ran anywhere near as long as 26 miles in one go before.. I have to admit its a little daunting.

My second reason is the charity I'm supporting Carers UK. Many thousands of people in this country spend their lives looking after loved ones who suffer from a disability, they do so with very little support either financially or emotionally and recieve very little attention in the media. Most people have no idea of what caring for somene with a disability 24/7 involves... its a huge commitment and in most cases a lifelong one. These remarkable people undertake a real labour of love, I wanted to do something to help this most worthwhile charity so I thought I'd get my running shoes on and see if I could raise a few quid.

Anything you feel like giving will be massively appreciated, its all straight forward, just click on the buttons and the site takes care of the rest.

Thanks

Simon
