Story

Thanks for popping by.

Once again I'm joining colleagues at the University of Sheffield in the Big Walk 2018.  This year is a 26.2 mile (42.2km) walk, which I have decided to run to raise money for the Sheffield Scanner,  a ground-breaking MRI-PET facility.  I quote:

"MRI-PET is the most advanced imaging technology to date. It will transform our understanding of serious conditions like cancer, dementia, heart and lung diseases, MND, Parkinson's and stroke and the way we treat them in the future. This will be the first facility of its kind in Yorkshire and a vital investment in the health of people in this region, across the UK and beyond."

I did a similar distance last year, however that meant stopping mid-route, so this year I look forward to crossing an actual finish line (to much approbation).

Please also feel free to leave an 'inspirational quote' like some have done already.
