Story

Hello and a big thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Back in August 2009, I was diagnosed with a DVT, due in no small part to be extremely overweight. Once I was back at work, I decided to tackle my weight before it was too late - I'm 42 now. I joined a local Weight Watchers club in October, and I've lost over 19 stone. I'm not proud of what I've done-it should never have got to that stage, BUT if I could raise some money for the British Heart Foundation, I would see that as an achievement. My Weight Watchers leader, Emma Brimsted, suggested we apply for the London Marathon, and luckily (!?), we were successful! So, from now on, it's training, training, TRAINING!!

Thanks again for looking at my page, and if you'd like to donate, that would be great.
