Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Recently I was looking at how much effort I put into things and coming to a few conclusions. Firstly that I spend a lot of time indulging in sport. Secondly that I'm lucky to be able to indulge. And thirdly, that I haven't raised money for quite some time.

Recently a friend of ours who copes with lives with cancer engaged in a marathon push to organise a ride around Britain with other cancer sufferers and survivors, linking each of the capital cities. Separately, my cousin Emily was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. She is in her early 30s and I was deeply saddened to find out.

So rather than waste my effort on a Saturday jolly, on the 5th of May I'll be attempting to ride up 'the tumble' 15 times. This adds up to 6870 meters – more than (and just in case it’s wrong; I’m quoting this) “Alpe d’Huez 6 times”.

The event details are here http://tumbleup4life.wordpress.com/

Thanks for dropping by. Hope you can spare a bob or two.

Many thanks,

Simon
