There are more people living with HIV than ever before - nearly 50,000 in London. Your support helps to make sure we can keep our doors open for as long as people with HIV need us, and helps the fight to prevent and stop HIV. Get involved by donating, fundraising or volunteering.

Story

I happened to recently attend a business networking meeting at the Positive East building on Mile End Road, part of which we had a tour and talk on the work they do, which is awe inspiring.

Have a look at their youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK6WAap9RITLk-75QsABjkg too. Anything you can do to help would be great.

I often get asked 'why should I sponsor someone for something they would do and enjoy anyway'. Running a marathon is NOT fun. It is absolutely brutal. Up to 800 miles need to be run in advance of the day to build the fitness levels needed to run a marathon.

To know that you need to complete this in order to raise money for such a good cause is a huge psycological benefit when you are in the 20+ mile zone with every part of your body telling you to stop.
