Sick, injured and homeless pets have relied on us since 1897. Thousands of abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured, pets turn to us for help every year. Our doors are always open to them, and with your support, they always will be.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running for the Blue Cross because like so many Brits I absolutely love animals.
Since we adopted our own rescue dog Shima we have agreed as a family that we will always get our family pets this way, and help out others in any way we can. It's the rescue animals that need extra help and sometimes a rehabilitation programme that their previous lives require.

When we took on Shima we had to help her a little with her rehabilitation and her weight problem. She was involved in a car accident you see and rescued by the RSPCA. After having an operation to remove the ball joint from one of her back legs because of injury, she was eventually moved to Battersea. It also appeared that she had been abandoned by her owners as she had clearly had a litter by C-section.

Thanks to all the rescue centres involved, nowadays she is an important part of the family, a well rounded, happy and slimmer dog.

Shima is one of many, some are poorly treated, ill or just struggling with the re-homing process, but either way I'm sure you'll agree that a Charity like the Blue Cross do some fantastic work! We are all animal lovers so please dig deep and donate now to make a difference to animals in need.

PS: Don't forget to select Gift Aid, thanks
