Brighton Marathon 2013 · 14 April 2013 ·

We support adults with learning disabilities and autism to live confident, independent lives through our accommodation services, skills training, personal development and inspiring work experiences. Our largest training project is the Rare Breeds Centre our farm visitor attraction.

Story

Many thanks for taking the time to visit my ‘Just Giving’ page.

As you may or may not be aware, I will be running my first (and only!) marathon in Brighton on 14/04/2013.

To help motivate me during arduous training runs, I have decided to raise some money for a very worthwhile charity.

The charity I am running for is called: ‘The Canterbury Oast Trust’ (COT) and my cousin resides at one of their dwellings.

COT is a charity supporting adults with learning disability across Kent and East Sussex. The trust was set up in the mid 1980s by a group of parents seeking a better future for their children.

Today COT supports 91 individuals to live the life they choose. Residents and tenants live in quality homes and receive training with an emphasis on supporting independence and the development of life skills.

All this comes at a cost, and is mainly achieved through the fund raising efforts of relatives and well-wishers. By supporting COT you will help secure the future for all those people they strive to help.

For more information go to the Canterbury Oast Trust web site:  www.c-o-t.org.uk

Any donation would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again,

Simon
