Simon Robinson and Daniel Charge have signed up to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon and Half Marathon respectively.  They are both training hard for the event in May. 

Simon and Daniel are running in aid of The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys, based in Eccup near Leeds. EST Leeds has been providing donkey riding therapy sessions to children in Leeds and the surrounding area since 1999.  Around 170 children with special needs and disabilities visit the Centre each week for therapeutic riding sessions.  The charity also provides outreach visits to residents of nursing homes, hospices and care homes.  EST provides donkey therapy services free of charge and is entirely dependent on fundraising and donations to continue its work.

Simon is an experienced marathon runner and is looking forward to completing what will be his 83rd marathon.  He became involved with the charity through his wife Angie, who regularly volunteers at EST Leeds.

Daniel is new to running but is tackling the challenges of training to complete what will be his first half marathon.  Daniel learned about the marathon bid through his younger sister who attends EST Leeds on a weekly basis for riding therapy sessions.
