We are doing the charity Dragon Boat Challenge on the Thames in Kingston on Sunday 19th July 2009.

This is novice Dragon Boat racing for charity rather than the organised leagues of people who know what they are doing. I think there are 32 boats that race in heats and the least rubbish performers go through to a knockout, ending up with a final.  

The boat I am on is sponsoring Jeevika (reg charity number 271167) whose aim is "To work towards an India without absolute poverty where all people have the opportunity to live with dignity free from hunger, deprivation and marginalisation. See www.jeevika.org.uk
