Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be taking part in the London Marathon, as part of the Huddersfield Marathon Band.  We are raising money for Sense, a charity that help support deafblind people.  This a topic close to my heart, as in my day job I am a Hearing Aid Audiologist, and see first hand the problems that having a hearing impairment can cause.  Many of my clients also suffer with poor vision, and I know the difficulties this can cause them in using and maintaining their hearing aids, let alone how it effects them with other day to day tasks.

I am personally looking to raise £1,500 +, and collectively the band is aiming to raise £60,000. If you are able to help, and would like to make a donation, I would be truly grateful.  Many thanks
