In April 2012 I will be part of a team trekking to Everest Base Camp (17,500ft above sea level). I will be trekking along with 26 of my work colleagues from St. James’s Place Wealth Management and together we hope to raise £500,000 for our Foundation which grants awards to the smaller UK registered charities operating in the UK and abroad.
I have already cycled 330km across Cuba with 12 colleagues in 2006 in aid of our Foundation where we raised over £50,000 and I have taken part in the ‘Ten Tors Challenge’ in 2009 raising £20,000.
This, for me, is the trip of a lifetime and I have no experience of this type of trekking so it will be a huge personal challenge, one that I am really excited about and a trip that will give an immense amount of personal achievement.
