In November 2015, myself and four other ambitious but otherwise ordinary men in the their 40's are setting out on an epic journey of adventure, only once been attempted before. Our challenge, to row the navigable length of the Amazon River, from Iquitos in Peru to Belem in Brazil - a total distance of 2077 miles - totally unsupported. We are not athletes but we want to stretch ourselves , achieve something extraordinary and raise funds for this and other amazing charities.

Severn Hospice gives specialist care and support to families across Shropshire and North Powys who are living with incurable illness. You only need to read the personal stories on their website to see what an amazing place this is.
