Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Back in 2004 Simon’s Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer following a routine check-up with his GP. Over the last ten years he has under gone surgery radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Thanks to the research and developments in this form of cancer the Lyddon family are blessed to still have their Dad with them today. It is humbling to think that had he been diagnosed even just ten years earlier the story could have been very different.

Simon’s Dad is currently going through his second round of chemotherapy and despite all the side effects of nausea pain and other discomforts remains so positive and upbeat.

As a team Chris Wright, Jordan Barrington and Simon Lyddon will be taking on the Lakeland50 – a 50 mile ultramarathon over the Lake District hills!

Please donate all that you can to support further developments in prostate cancer and give more families the gift of time with their Dads.
