Hi ! Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
My daughter Erica was born in early 2010 and my wife (Penny) and I discovered she has Down syndrome. We soon made contact with a group called psds and I, and Erica's Godmother Michelle, are running in the Reading Half Marathon on 20th March (the day before World Down Syndrome Day) to help support psds. I hope you will support us in the event !
Psds is a wonderful charity that offers support, advice and opportunities to both children with Down syndrome and their families. Families meet regularly to share experiences and provide a network of support, friendship, advice and expertise. This not only benefits children with Down syndrome, but also their siblings, parents and all family members.
There is also a range of professional services, such as early development groups, speech and language therapy and an extensive library of resources for members and their families to make use of.
The aim of psds is for children with Down syndrome to have
access to the opportunities available to all others and for there to be
no ceiling on what any of our children might achieve.
