SPANA is committed to alleviating the suffering of working animals in some of the world's most vulnerable communities across the world. We provide expert veterinary treatment as well as an extensive education programme teaching owners and children how to better care for their animals.

Story

Over the coming year, I will be walking 1000 miles to raise money for SPANA and other great causes. The walks will be a mixture of long countryside trails and shorter urban trips in England and Wales.

I've already walked 267 miles. For my progress see my blog at: http://charitypages.blogspot.com/

Anyone is welcome to join me for a long slog or a short stroll. If you join me you'll get your photo on my blog!!

I'm covering all my own costs, so every penny will go straight to the charity. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SPANA - The Society For The Protection Of Animals Abroad will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
