Having successfully completed my Rainbow 10m, 20m, and even, 50m Certificates at Primary School, I felt the next step in my swimming portfolio would be to attempt the 1 mile Open Water swim. Having not been able to see whilst swimming for most of my formative years due to a lack of contact lenses or prescription goggles; I think I'll be perfectly suited for the murky waters of Dorney Lake.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is a great charity to raise money for knowing that it will help fund specialised paediatric machines, major redevelopment programmes, pioneering research as well as patient and parent welfare programmes.
