Story

Hello and thank you for visiting my page and in doing so hopefully you will be donating some money!

All donations are welcome both BIG and small... (preferably BIG though...he he)

London to Paris Cycle Challenge & Computer Aid International

In May 2010 I am undertaking an ambitious bike ride from London to Paris in aid of Computer Aid International. I will be raising at least £1,300 in sponsorship. Part of the money raised goes towards paying for the event and support costs, whilst the remainder goes directly to Computer Aid’s work to provide IT education to school children across the developing world. Every £1 raised for Computer Aid will help provide IT education to one child for one year.

 Computer Aid International

Computer Aid International (UK reg. charity No.1069256) refurbishes 1,500 high quality Pentium computers per month, donated in the UK for use by schools and community groups all over the world.  Each PC typically provides 6,000 hours of education and vocational training.  Computer Aid International  has shipped almost 150,000 computers to over 107 countries.

 Where will my money go?

We will use all of the money generated from the London to Paris Cycle Challenge work to provide PCs to schools.  Depending on the end location it typically costs £50 to collect, test, upgrade, package and then ship a computer.

Every PC shipped, with the support of trained teachers; provide the opportunity for around 50 children to reach a vocational level of IT literacy.
