Having experience of cancer as a patient, friend and family member has made me really appreciate the amazing work Maggie's does. I have enjoyed getting advice as well as meeting many interesting people around the Maggie's Kitchen Table.  It has been a joy to be involved with their work by taking photographs of the staff and their work over the last 14 months.

By running the GNR in their running vest I am hoping to raise awareness about their work as well as funds for it. This is were I am asking you if you be one of the people helping me reach my fundraising target.  All the money raised goes to Maggie's Newcastle as I was lucky enough to win my own running place in the first ballot and have already paid for entry.

My 3, lovely, irreverent daughters don't believe I will cross that Finish Line in South Shields on September 7th -actually one does have faith in my ability to finish what I started.  Well, I will get there even more so if you can help me with that fundraising target. Just imagine how much £500 can achieve for those people walking into Maggie's on one day: Several individuals being able to see a an amazing clinical nurse specialist outside a clinical setting, a psychologist, attend a fascinating nutrition workshop or a yoga class etc. The best thing is Maggie's is a FREE drop-in that anyone can make their own and use how it best fits into their way of dealing with cancer ... an unexpected haven with so much to offer!
