I am training hard to take part in the East Belfast Mission Trek up Mount Killimanjaro in June 2010. Fundraising efforts to date have included bag packing in local stores, sponsored walks, coffee mornings in work and generally pestering everyone I know to give me their hard earned cash!!!!

I hope to raise £1,500.00 through this page alone so I appreciate any donation, however small as it will all go towards the work of the Mission. One of the areas I am particularly interested is the services provided by Hosford House - the homelessness service and shelter provided by East Belfast Mission. Hosford House provides a counselling service for residents, a 22 bed hostel for those who find themselves without accomodation, support for ex-residents while they make the transition into their own accomodation as well as a healthy eating project and lifeskills programme.

The thing I am looking forward to most about the event is the sense of achievement that I hope that I will feel when I prove you all wrong and find myself at the top of the summit!! (fingers crossed!)
