Broomfield Landscaper Challenge · 23 July 2016 to 9 October 2016 ·

Our annual fundraising campaign to raise money for current and former UK horticulturists needing help, advice and support.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

A group of colleagues and friends from
Greenspace Solutions in Leeds (now owned by GRITIT) are joining forces to raise
money for HortAid this year in memory of Alan Broomfield. Alan, who worked for Greenspace
Solutions, died from cancer last year and leaves a wife and young son.

As a team we are challenging ourselves to
complete The Yorkshire Three Peaks (July), Yorkshire Tough Mudder (August) and
Yorkshire Marathon (October). In the marathon we will have individual runners (e.g.
Adam Ralph) as well as a Corporate Relay team from Green-tech Ltd.  We will also work with the BALI North East
region to host additional fundraising events throughout the year.

Why we're raising money for Perennial:

Perennial is the only UK charity supporting the
people who work in horticulture, and who can step in at times like this to help
both the landscaper and the family. . Perennial offers free and confidential
help, advice and financial assistance for as long as it is needed. Often
described simply as a 'lifeline' by those it helps, we want to raise a
significant amount of money this year to help Perennial support colleagues like
Alan and his family across the UK.
