The Marathon Des Sables is considered the 'toughest footrace on earth' - an endurance race of approximately 250kms across the Sahara Desert, the equivalent of 6 marathons in 7 days. We must carry all of our own provisions for the entire duration through one of the planets' most hostile environments. We are dedicating our epic challenge to Macmillan and to their support of the most formidable cancer sufferers. This is not just any event but a true test of human will power and spirit which is reflected in those that we are raising money to support. We need our friends and family to get behind us and see us through months of intense training and focused dedication, and all we're asking is for a dig in your pocket and a wish of encouragement for what we are setting ourselves to achieve. We have seen reality wind itself up in a pickle of financial concern but real issues, tragic issues, like cancer, still exist and still affect us and still need supporting and we hope that this extraordinary effort will make a small impact on making this better for all of us.
