In undertaking this challenge we hope to raise as much money as we can for two charities, the first being - Help the Hereos Campaign. This is a high profile charity which raises money for the British Service men and women wounded every day in conflicts around the World; the money raised will be raised to facilitate rehabilitation units where help is given to those who have sustained disabilities or permanent injuries.
The second charity we will be supporting is the Erb’s Palsy Society. Erb’s Palsy is a condition which affects babies during child birth, affecting nerves on the spine which can leave short and long term disability of the arms of these children. The aim of this group is to educate midwives and doctors regarding safe practice during delivery.
To enable us to achieve our goal and raise as much money for these two worthy charities we are looking for help or sponsorship to cover the logistical costs of the challenge - transport, accommodation and food, the intention is the money we raise can be donated completely without having to deduct the cost of the event. Therefore any form of contribution or assistance would be gratefully accepted.
Company Logos or branding would be on our tour vehicles and team clothing. This event will be covered by a professional camera crew for national television. There has been a great deal of interest from regional, national broadcasting and newspapers. This will maximise awareness of our challenge and our sponsors in all six countries.
