My story

Hi Alex here!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  As you will be aware I'm dusting off my boots and taking to the saddle again to ride at the Cheltenham festival. I'm raising funds in memory of one of my oldest friends Becci, who lost her husband to cancer in 2011 aged 35, leaving behind two young daughters. To lose anyone to cancer is heartbreaking, but at such a young age with a young family is unimaginable. Thanks so much for your donation, let's try and prevent this happening to so many people in the future.

Well time now to thank everyone for their kind donations. We raised a phenomenal amount of money for CRUK and the cheques are still coming in. This page closes in a couple of weeks so there is still time, but I just wanted to thank you all again xxxx

Well, we made it and a great day was had by all the CRUK riders. It feels like we have all achieved so much for various reasons and the fundraising has been outstanding. There is still money coming in and I'll keep you updated on the total, thanks so much for your generosity xxx

Hi everyone, it's fast approaching now and I've taken the week off work to ensure I can ride out every day. I went for a run around Cheltenham on Sunday which was great and very helpful too. I can't believe how generous you have all been. Thanks again xxx

I forgot to say that I had a cracking trip up to Richard Fahey's yard last week! On Tues I rode 6 bits of work! That blew the cowbebs away! Thanks for your continued generosity, I wish I could thank you all personally, it's really appreciated. Lots of love xxxx

Hi all, the training is still going well. I've been riding out for Lawney Hill & Andrew Balding this week and it feels like spring is in the air. The fitness is good too, the plan is to run the Bath half, but I have a slight hamstring tweak & am playing that by ear! xxxx
