Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To celebrate 50 years of living, I am inviting you to get involved in a cycle ride targeted at friends and friends of friends,

The route I have selected for my celebratory ride is the beautiful Lancashire Cycleway known as Sustran 90 & 91. The route selected is a 160 miles tour, approximately 80 miles per day.

The date is the 27th and 28th August. I recognize this is within the holiday period, but I have secured low cost accommodation and hopefully good weather.  Accommodation, breakfast and evening meal is approximately £20

The start and finish point is Bowley Scout Activity Centre - Nr Whalley (the point where 90 and 91 meet)

My son Michael and friends will cook an evening meal and breakfast.

My intention is to request a small charitable donation payable direct to charity via this just giving website as entry fee,

You now have 3 options:

1.    Join me by making a donation, clearly stating you wished to ride. I recommend £25 donation – however the donation is your choice.

2.    Offer to support the event with marshalling or cooking the evening meal. Again a donation is appreciated.

3.    Just donate.

The charity is CICRA, Chrons being a cause I am passionate about.

The Lancashire Cycleway comprises two circular routes which meet in the historic village of Whalley in the Ribble Valley. The Cycleway follows minor roads, where possible and takes you through a host of different landscapes from the rugged Bowland Hills and West Pennine Moors to the rich pastures of the Fylde Plain and the outstanding coastal scenery at Silverdale. Part of the Cycleway at Rivington was used in the 2001 Commonwealth Games.
