Concert Für Eloise · 15 April 2013

We perform pioneering research into genetic abnormalities of brain tumours, novel imaging techniques & drug delivery. We also excel in diagnosis, innovative treatment & raising awareness. Additional funding will enable crucial advances to be made in understanding & treating childhood brain tumours.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My husband Steve and I, together with Carolyn Smith and John Henson are a local quartet Songs4U Songs4U page who perform many concerts for charity. On Saturday 20th April we are putting on a concert called 'Für Eloise' with songs chosen by and for Eloise, at the Ruddington Methodist Church, corner of Church St./Charles St. Ruddington, Nottm. NG11 6HA at 7.30 pm   Admission will be £5 and all proceeds will go to Children's Brain Tumour Research.

In August last year our Granddaughter, Eloise Mills was admitted to Nottingham Queen's Medical Centre (QMC) for removal of a brain tumour the size of a walnut, surrounded by a cyst the size of a satsuma. Fortunately the tumour proved to be benign. She received excellent care from all of the nurses and consultants and, after a meeting with Professor Walker we agreed to help with research into children's brain tumours. We also said that we could help to raise money for the HeadSmart campaign - see HeadSmart page - to raise funds and awareness so that other children can benefit from her upsetting experience.

Anyone who cannot get to our concert may like to donate through this website instead.
