Surrey Half Marathon 2014 · 9 March 2014 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Whelan's Wheeled Warriors is a group formed of 9 people from the entertainment industry all riding from London to Brighton this June, in memory of our very dear friend, Chris Whelan, who we lost suddenly of a heart attack in October 2013. Instead of riding with them, I will be running the Surrey Half Marathon on March 9th to do my part for the cause. We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation.

In an event earlier in the year, we raised enough money to buy a defibrillator for Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud theatre, a place that Chris was well respected and loved, and where we all met the man that is still in all our hearts.

Any money you can donate will be a great help to the BHF. Donating means research can continue into trying to prevent any other friends and family dealing with the painful loss of someone special.

Thanks.
