In January 2018 our colleague Renee sadly lost her fight due to a rare form of Ocular cancer, which had spread to her liver. Renee was an inspiration for so many across Unilever, with her never give up attitude and positive outlook on life.

Though I did not know Renee personally, her story has touched me  and inspired me to do my part to help fund raise for the important work that Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research does. Rare cancers like these are often overlooked when trying to raise funds and that's exactly the reason why events such as this walk will help fund much needed research into ocular cancer and how to treat it.

On the 3rd of July I will take part in a walking Marathon across London with another 249 colleagues and together we aim to raise £50,000, which will be donated to the Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group, which will make a significant difference in fighting ocular cancer.

Any donation, big or small, is welcome and will truly make a difference
