Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to do tough mudder this year for a charity!! I know anything for charity would be a good cause but I wanted to do something for personal reasons a charity I knew would touch my heart and I found one sparkles - 5 years ago my beautiful little cousin Mia Louise was born she was so precious. Mia was born with down syndrome – if I’m really honest i didn’t get it as I didn’t know what it really was or why she would have it, I remember watching a video link Mia's mum Jo (my cousin) created and it was a slideshow of pictures of Mia as a new born and I just cried and cried thinking why? - She had selected the most amazing song called AMAZING by Jannelle to support the slide show..... I asked my mum and nan so many questions and was frightened I’d say the wrong thing... the first time I saw Mia she made my heart melt she was unreal... PERFECT and I fell in love in fact a special love like no other a different love! She was beautiful. From that day on I wasn’t scared to ask questions I didn’t cry and think why - I realised how lucky I was to have such a special little girl in my life - Mia is now 5 and she is incredible she puts all my family in such a positive and happy mood u can’t help but smile and laugh when she is around you. I need to mention someone who I feel doesn’t get the credit she deserves - JO Mia's mum - WHAT A WOMAN - I thank you Jo for bringing Mia in to my life and for the amazing things you have done with her so she stands out from the rest ! She is one in a million and a credit to you and our family, forever and ever like no other. Mia will always hold a special place in my heart. And I can’t wait until she gets older and I can take her out: D shopping....since Mia was born I have met so many children with down syndrome including a very close friend of mines little girl Grace who was born shortly after and again a beautiful little girl that melts your heart.. this is for such a special cause hope you can all find some spare change to donate for sparkles as before mia & grace came in to my life I didn’t think into what families and friends actually go through when down syndrome is involved....
Thank you and PLEASE donate - as of yet I can’t even run up the stairs but look in to tough mudder and see what I will have to do.... xxxxxxxx
