Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We (Stephanie and Sophie) have chosen to organise and participate in a 24km Triathlon, consisting of running, rowing and cycling. All money raised will go towards The Child Brain Injury Trust. This charity is a voluntary organisation and is therefore not funded by the Government.

The reason we have chosen to sponsor The Child Brain Injury Trust is because we feel it is a charity very close to our hearts.

I (Sophie), have experienced a brain injury only a few years ago. The effect that a brain injury has upon a young person and their family is devastating and life long. I feel since my accident, i have been judged as incapable and i am often underestimated. Although, i have experienced many difficulties since my injury, i feel i deserve respect. We have chosen the slogan to show that although im different, im doing this "Because I Can".

The event will take place on 30th July 2011 at Ballyearl Arts and Leisure Centre. All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story,
