I have worked in the NHS for the last 18 months delivering food to the Macmillan unit in Christchurch. I can see first hand how cancer effects families and individuals and am personnally affected with my mum suffering now for a second time. I was already promoting The Lambrettas on Bournemouth Pier and with recent developments it seems very fitting to raise some money for this charity on my doorstep. Jez Bird the original singer for the band passed away in 2008 through cancer and at whatever stage of this illness support is needed we should be there to help!
