Story

Thanks for visiting the SYHA fundraising page.

2012 is our 40th birthday, so we have set some challenges for the year to raise money and give something back to the local community.

This fundraising challenge is for a team of SYHA staff and board members to sleep rough for one night on Thursday 18th October 2012.

We are giving up one night of our comfortable lives to try and raise as much money for the Archer Project in Sheffield, while gaining a small insight into the plight of the increasing numbers of rough sleepers.

The Archer Project is based at Sheffield Cathedral and provides vital support to homeless people in the city, often helping to change lives.

Our willing vounteers are as follows: our Chief Executive, Tony Stacey, New Business Director, John Spon-Smith, our Vice Chair, Maggie Riley, Non-executive Directors Kath Chambers and Becky Royle, from our partner IS4 Consulting John Jeffries and from our Management team, Roger Southworth, Joanne Hill, Bev Carr, Rebecca White, Helen Sims and from our staff team Sonya Payne and Georgina Barrett.

So please dig deep and donate now.
