Well the big day has been and gone, I managed to finish the marathon in very hot weather in 4 hours  49 minutes, thanks agin to all those people that have sponsored me and helped me support Headlines.

Only 4 days to go, lets hope all the long runs pay off, only one more long run that being the marathon itself !!!!

Please give generously it is the thought of the money that will keep me going when it gets tough

Well the time is nearly here, the Marathon is on Sunday, the nerves are setting in, but the training has gone quite well, and fingers crossed for the weather being not too hot.

Most of all a big thankyou to all those people that have sponsored me and my family who have supported me through my training over the months.

I am running my first marathon on 18 April 2010 in Brighton the first marathon in (www.brightonmarathon.co.uk).

Apart from finishing the 26 miles and 365 yards I am hoping to raise money for a charity called Headlines.

Headlines began in 1993 as ‘The Craniofacial Support Group’ and was set up by a group of parents whose children were affected by Craniosynostosis.

Today Headlines - Craniofacial Support is a registered charity run by trustees (who include medical professionals) together with a part-time employee.

Craniosynostosis is caused by a fusing prematurely of the sutures of the skull and face creating a sunken flat look to the face and fused fingers and toes in the case of Aperts Syndrome.

The reason I have chose Headlines is that they are a small charity, and family friends of ours whose children have all grown up together with my own children have a little girl named Rebecca who is just over a year old and has already spent many occasions in hospital at Oxford due to Aperts Syndrome. Headlines try to raise money for the awareness of the conditions covered by Craniosynostosis, but they also provide support for the whole family including other siblings and parents.

So please sponsor me – any amount (no matter how small) it will be really appreciated, and put to good use.
