Thank you for visiting our Sheffield Half Marathon Just Giving page in support of the Sheffield Scanner.
On 8 April 2018 we will be taking part in the Run for All Sheffield Half Marathon as part of the University of Sheffield team. We’re raising funds for the University’s £2 million campaign to bring an MRI-PET scanning facility to Sheffield, the first of its kind in Yorkshire.More information about the Sheffield Scanner can be found at www.sheffield.ac.uk/sheffieldscanner
The three of us all work for Sport Sheffield and are determined take on the challenge of 13.1 miles around Sheffield to raise at least £750 between us for this ground-breaking new imaging equipment. We all vary in running experience and look forward to joining the University team and come together to help support this amazing cause.
We’ll be among thousands of runners who’ll descend on the city’s streets on 8 April. We face a grueling 1,000 elevation up Eccalsall Road, out to the peak district before turning back downhill to the city centre - it's going to be a tough test!
