Springs Dance Company needs a van so that the dancers can take their work to people that need it most! We create inspirational dance theatre which is thought-provoking, entertaining, uplifting and compelling, and we provide opportunities for young people, old people, and everyone else to participate in and experience world class performance in their community.
Our lovely dark blue van, called Annie after the person who left Springs the money to buy the van, finally reached the end of the road this year. Annie the van was an incredible gift that enabled the dancers to take performances, projects and workshops across the UK and overseas, to reach people and places that would rarely otherwise have the opportunity to see and experience dance as Springs offers. Annie the van took the dancers to over 100,000 people in the last 12 years.
We have found a new van that is suitable for the company's needs (ie for the audience's needs!) and it has cost £6600, that is a cost just over 6p per person who is set to benefit in this new van's lifetime! We have had to go ahead in faith and purchase the van, as we have commitments to communities around the country and beyond, to deliver inspirational dance projects this year and next already, so we really need your help.
