St Peter’s Day Hospice is the only day centre in your local area that provides care and support for people with life limiting illness such as cancer, heart failure and motor neurone disease. All our care is provided completely free of charge.
Every donation you give buys another link in the chain and helps us provide a Christmas meal and modest gift for all our patients. Your gift will also offer local people – many of whom live alone – the care and support that can improve the quality of their lives enormously. Relaxation classes, alternative therapies and art and craft activities can ease patient’s stress and help them forget about their illness for a while. Whilst simple exercises and nutritious recipes that are quick to prepare, help patients to stay independent for as long as possible.
Support our Day Hospice by donating today. You can also help us make a great big Christmas paper chain that we’ll be using to decorate the Hospice – just write your message below. These messages will be joined together on the chain to signal to our patients that, whatever they’re going through: they don’t have to go through it alone.
£15 could cover the cost of aromatherapy treatments for 2 people to help them reax and feel good about themselves
£20 could cover the cost of petrol for one of our volunteer drivers who kindly take patients to and from the Day Hospice
£50 could pay for a day of festive fun, including a Christmas meal for 10 of our patients
