Story
In October 2011 a group of staff and pupils from St Joseph's Academy spent 10 days working with the staff and pupils from La Sagrada Familia de Nazareth school in the shanty town of Nueva Prosperina in Guayquil, Ecuador.
This is the area where Fr Martin Chambers spent five years working with the community to help improve the living conditions of life chances of the people living there, which he did with the help and support from back home in Scotland.
As a school St Joseph's Academy is now committed to continue working with the young people of the school and as part of our fundraising activities a number of staff and pupils are planning to run the Troon 10k on May 9th and we are seeking your sponsorship.
Please dig deep and help us to help those less fortunate than ourselves and sponsor Fr Martin Chambers; teachers - Mr Sikora, Mr Davis, Miss McDaid. Pupils Joe Hunter, Sean Robinson and Bethany Ross. Suerte!
Gracias
