Story

HELP US RAISE MONEY FOR ST PETERS HOSPICE/CANCER CARE

A 13 strong team (known as the Sweaty Knutts - its a long story) are to undertake a feat, conceived in a 'peak' of madness. What makes it 'a mountain to climb' is that all 13 are really 'over the hill' when it comes to a physical challenge.

The team are to climb the highest mountains in each of Wales, England and Scotland, one after the other. The target is to complete this feat within only 24 hours between 8am on Saturday 8th May and 8am on Sunday 9th May and is commonly known as 'The 3 Peaks Challenge'. For those not familiar with this challenge, it is considered to be one of the most testing 24 hour challenges, involving night time mountain climbing, no sleep and considerable mental application.

We will be supporting St Peter's Hospice which is Bristol’s only adult hospice caring for local people with incurable illnesses, most of whom are dealing with Cancer. Their commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones.

We are looking to raise a material sum - £15,000 or more - and therefore would be really grateful of your support by making a donation.

We are each contributing personally £200 to the cost of this challenge. Whilst we do not expect such substantial donations from our sponsors (although it would be nice!), please give generously to this worthy cause.
