“I have chosen to register for this challenge as I have lost to many people over the years from terminal illness and watched many more suffer, fight and regain their lives back. I have watched and wished I could do more to help these people and others like them, but unfortunately, as many of us understand, I couldn’t. Charities like Marie Curie who have grown and evolved also struggle to help everyone and they are many people…so as an individual I wanted to do something daring that would attract the generosity and support of all those I know to raise the financial funds that no one should worry about during the hardest time of their lives. My trek will be in the honour of all of you who have lost the fight and are still fighting and who have won…you know who you are and I love you all dearly”
